Interactive cosmetic surgery event pools the talents of top surgeons

A Live Interactive Cosmetic Surgery Conference, organised by Anglia Ruskin University in association with the Capio Springfield Hospital, will bring together some of the world's top cosmetic surgeons to demonstrate some of the latest theories and practices to students and medical personnel working in this fast-growing sector of healthcare.

Doctors, nurses, beauticians, healthcare professionals and students will be attending the two separate days of live interactive cosmetic surgery on 15/16 September to find out more about breast augmentation and reduction; and face lifts. The full-day sessions, to be staged at the Auditorium of the Michael A Ashcroft Building at Rivermead campus, will feature live and pre-filmed surgery from Capio Springfield Hospital.

The first day of the conference, Breast Aesthetics will feature live surgery performed by consultant plastic and hand surgeon Mr Fortune Iwuagwu FRCS, from Broomfield Hospital, Mid Essex NHS Trust, who will be demonstrating procedures relating to Bilateral Breast Augmentation. This will be followed by pre-filmed surgery undertaken by consultant plastic, burns and reconstructive specialist Peter Dziewulski FRCS, also from Broomfield, who will be focusing on Breast reduction using a single scar technique. While the second day will concentrate on three separate face lift procedures designed to combat the signs of aging. Consultant plastic surgeon Jim Frame FRCS will be seen performing live surgery and this will be scheduled to fit in with other practical demonstrations of nursing care and non-surgical facial work.
