The www free makeup giveaway is the result of a 2004 Class-Action Lawsuit battle that accused cosmetic companies and their retailers of price fixing. Although the cosmetic companies still deny any wrongdoing, the settlement requires them to give away around $175 million dollars in makeup and cosmetic products to all customers who purchased a product from the listed stores between 1994 and 2003. So if you’re one of the millions who have purchased beauty products between this time, go out and claim what’s yours!
No receipt? No worries. They’re operating on the honor system. Customers claiming a free product will need to sign a form stating they’re eligible.
The giveaway runs while supplies last, through January 26. Any remaining items (like there will really be any) will be donated to charity.
